January 19, 2026 Why I built a Telegram planner that talks back (MVP & Feedback)

Hi everyone,

I’ve just reached a major milestone with my project, APlanner. It’s a Telegram mini-app designed to bridge the gap between static task managers and a real personal assistant.

Most planners I’ve used felt like "graveyards" for tasks—you put things in, but nothing happens if you ignore them. I wanted to create something that feels alive.

What’s inside the MVP:

  • Proactive Communication: The app doesn't just send notifications; it engages in dialogue, acting as an accountability partner to ensure you stay on track.

  • Mood Detection: It monitors your emotional state to help you understand how your mood affects your productivity.

  • Habit Tracking: Integrated habit formation tools that work within your daily chat flow.

The product is ready to use, but I know there is still a long way to go to make it perfect. I’m currently at the stage where I need to refine the conversational logic and UX.

I’m offering the full functionality completely for free. I’m not looking for revenue right now; I’m looking for honest, "brutal" feedback. Does a conversational interface actually help you stay productive, or is it just another distraction?

I’d love for you to try it out and tell me what you think. What features are missing? What feels annoying?

This is actually interesting. Most task apps feel lifeless, you're right about that. The mood detection feature sounds useful for catching when you're in a productivity slump. Quick question, does it actually analyze what you type or is it more like you manually log your mood? And how annoying does the proactive communication get after a few days?

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad the concept resonates with you.

      Regarding your questions:

      1. Mood Detection: Currently, there is no automatic analysis of what you type—though that is a brilliant idea for the future roadmap, thank you! At the moment, you can schedule specific times for the app to check in on you. It then compiles your responses into a visual overview of your well-being for the day, week, or month.

      2. Proactive Communication: From my personal experience during testing, the "annoyance" level depends entirely on your activity and the number of tasks you have. I like to think of it this way: it’s about as annoying as a highly professional assistant. She might be persistent, but only because she’s making sure you actually do the things you know you need to do, even when you’d rather procrastinate.

The goal is to provide accountability, not just noise. I’m still fine-tuning the balance, so I’d love to hear how it feels for you after a few days of use!
