It’s rare to see something built for founders that doesn’t feel like a growth hack or a VC trap. Avenir feels like someone finally remembered why we build things in the first place not for algorithms, but for curiosity. So yeah, maybe it’s not perfect. But it’s one of the few projects that actually makes you believe the internet still has new corners left to explore.

Really like what you’re building with Avenir, tight promise, opinionated scope, and a fast “try → aha” loop. That’s the combo that actually sticks.

Two tiny moves that could compound quickly:

    • Pin a 30-sec zero-to-result demo right up top.

    • Add 2–3 job-to-be-done presets so new users don’t start from a blank state.

Curious: what single moment best predicts a paying user for you; first saved result, a second project created, or inviting a teammate? And which channel is bringing paying users right now; community, showcases, or search?

P.S. I’m with Buzz; we build conversion-focused Webflow sites and pragmatic SEO for product launches. Happy to share a quick GTM checklist if useful.

It’s minimal without being lifeless. Everything feels intentional, I like this approach.

The terminal-style navigation threw me off at first, but now I can’t stop thinking about how natural it feels.

  5. 2

I was skeptical at first, but the moment the landing loaded yeah, it hits different. Feels like stepping into a concept, not a website.

Really like how you’re rethinking not just the “what,” but the feeling of discovery.
Most platforms forgot that builders want to be inspired too.

  7. 1

Feels like it was made by people who care about the experience, not just the metrics. That alone is refreshing. Good job guys.

It’s been a while since a product felt like discovery for a lack of a better word but avenir might be one of the first to bring that energy back.

Finally someone said it founders don’t need more feeds or short-term boosts. We need spaces that actually remember our work. Avenir feels like that space.

  2. 7

The idea of “keeping your idea visible” really stuck with me. It’s wild how many great projects that fade because there’s no platform that values long-term creation. Props to you guys for addressing that.

  3. 5

I like how this approach feels calm and steady no hype, just purpose. That alone makes it stand out in a space full of corporate decisions.

  4. 4

This is the first platform concept that feels like it understands the rhythm of building not just the launch day buzz. Avenir Picks + The Pulse sound like they’ll actually help founders grow after launch. Good job guys.

  5. 3

It’s cool seeing something actually designed for founders rather than for attention. Avenir’s approach feels grounded almost like the early internet, when things were built out of passion rather than for algorithms.

  6. 2

What stands out to me is how much focus there is on sustainability in discovery. Most platforms feel like a sprint this feels like it's built for long-term discovery.

  7. 1

Love this vision — especially the part about “rewarding progress, not just launch day noise.” That shift from hype to legacy is exactly what founders need right now. Discovery that grows with you instead of fading after 24 hours is such a powerful idea. Feels like Avenir could become the long-term home builders have been waiting for. 🚀

This post captures the frustration a lot of founders feel. Finally, a platform that’s trying to fix the attention problem instead of adding to it.

Honestly, this feels like a breath of fresh air. Everyone’s been trying to make web experiences look futuristic, but Avenir actually makes them feel futuristic. The terminal-style navigation gives off a pure builder’s lab vibe direct, fast, and purpose driven. It’s not just UI. it’s an experience that understands how creators think.

  2. 2

This is such a refreshing approach..

  3. 2

This is really creative. I love how you rethought something as “basic” as navigation and made it feel like a developer’s workspace. It’s refreshing to see design that actually respects how technical users think.

Curious, did you test this flow with non-technical users too? I imagine some would find it empowering, others maybe a bit intimidating. Either way, it’s a super original approach

  4. 2

We're deliberately ditching the standard top/side navbar layout at Avenir and replacing it with a command-based terminal navigation system.

Users navigate by typing commands like exec.about or exec.billboard directly into a terminal interface.

We believe this delivers superior speed and creates an immersive workspace experience that founders will appreciate.

The big question: As an Indie Hacker, does using a terminal to navigate a product sound exciting and efficient, or just annoying

  5. 2

i know the terminal never went away but this year its realllllyy making a comeback

  6. 2

It's an interesting approach to navigation in general looking forward to see how it evolves in the future

  7. 2

Not gonna lie, I didn’t think a command interface would work on the web, but seeing it in Avenir, it does work

  8. 2

I really appreciate the “why” behind this. Terminal-based navigation. Other wise it would have been a bit confusing to navigate for first time users

  9. 1

Really interesting design choice — terminal-based navigation feels nostalgic but also faster for power users. Curious how non-technical users reacted in your tests?

  10. 1

We built Avenir with a terminal-based navigation instead of a traditional navbar to create a faster, distraction-free, and developer-focused experience. This approach emphasizes keyboard efficiency, command-driven control, and a minimalist interface that mirrors how developers naturally work. By replacing menus with intuitive commands, Avenir offers a cleaner workflow, enhanced productivity, and a unique, tech-forward user experience.

Sounds good! I’ll give it a try.

I had this unfortunate PH experience two days ago and your platform was what I dreamed of. It is great that you're working on!

Love this perspective ....discovery shouldn’t be a 24-hour race...

    Solid launch! 👏

Founders often build amazing MVPs in silence with little visibility or feedback before launch. At Athena Labs & Reym, we wanted to create a platform where founders can broadcast their MVPs, get early feedback, and connec
