September 6, 2026 I Built a Free Tool to Make Windows Battery Reports Easier to Understand

I recently launched Battery Health Lab, a free tool that helps Windows laptop users understand their battery health without manually reading a long technical report.

Windows can generate a detailed battery report using the powercfg /batteryreport command, but most users do not know which figures matter or how to interpret them. Design capacity, full charge capacity, battery wear, and usage history can be confusing if you are not familiar with the terminology.

Battery Health Lab simplifies that process. Users upload their Windows battery report, and the tool analyzes the important capacity figures to provide a clearer picture of the battery’s current condition.

I built it for people who are experiencing shorter battery life, considering a replacement, buying a used laptop, or simply wanting to monitor battery wear over time.

The tool is currently free and does not require an account:

This is an early version, so I would genuinely appreciate feedback from other makers. Is the result easy to understand? What additional battery information or guidance would make the tool more useful?
