August 9, 2026 5 months in, 45 users, and 1,000 cold emails with zero replies. Here's what I'm changing.

Hey IH, I'm Paul. First post here.

I'm building CallPrep (callprep.app), an AI BDR for sales teams. It researches every new lead and reaches out with a personalized message on LinkedIn, email, or WhatsApp within about 5 minutes, from your rep's own account.

I want to introduce myself the honest way, with the numbers most landing pages hide:

- Live since March. 45 users total. Growth has been basically flat for weeks.

- I sent 1,011 cold emails. ~47% open rate. Zero replies. Not low. Zero. I killed the channel.

- ~530 site visitors a month, and almost none of them sign up. So my problem isn't traffic, it's conversion and activation.

What I've learned so far:

1. Good deliverability + zero replies = your offer is the problem, not your sending setup. People opened. Nobody cared. That hurt more than a spam folder would have.

2. Writing more content doesn't fix distribution. I published a lot of articles. Google indexed a fraction of them. Domain authority, not volume, was the ceiling.

3. A tool that saves 20 minutes is a vitamin. I'm trying to become a painkiller — that's why I repositioned from "call prep research tool" to an autopilot that actually does the outreach, because "speed to lead" is a problem sales teams already know they're bleeding on.

What's next: talking to every user who went quiet (I've started booking these calls, they're humbling), fixing the signup funnel before chasing more traffic, and a Product Hunt launch once activation stops leaking.

If you've been through the "traffic but no signups" phase, I'd genuinely love to hear what moved the needle for you. And if you do sales and want to poke at CallPrep, the extension is free and I answer every email personally.

The zero-reply result is probably more informative than the 47% open rate. It seems like the bigger lesson here is that getting attention and creating enough urgency to respond are two very different problems. I’d be interested to see what you learn from the conversations with the users who went quiet.

Hey Aryan, basically we see already that when a prospect gets a reply based on synergy points, they ar 6x more eager to reply, than when it is a standard message.

That’s a significant signal. I’d be interested in continuing the conversation beyond the thread — would you be open to sharing the best email to reach you on?

Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.

About

It exists, as I had to cut some BDRs in my team, as per cost they generated. I literally built it for myself, and it started working as a charm, so I decided to resell it to other people. This tool can replace BDRs
