May 29, 2024 Are you building or renovating? I did too and then it turned into a nightmare!

I recently had a frustrating experience when I received an email saying my PCI was ready. Upon inspection, I found 60-80 defects in my house. I spent hours recording these issues with a note app and creating a spreadsheet. When I sent this to the admin and project manager, I was told they had no system for tracking defects; instead, my emails were passed on to the supervisor, which I found inefficient and unreliable.

To address this, I am creating an app that allows you to quickly photograph defects in your new home, describe the issues, add them to a report, and directly share it with your builder for resolution. This app aims to:

  • Effortlessly share your defects with the builder.
  • Capture, manage, and track defects.
  • Protect you by keeping all documentation in one place, with timestamps and responses.

In the future, the app could include features like AI assistance for describing issues and automatic tracking of professional inspection reports.

I'm just at the start of the journey and have teamed up with some amazing friends as the market on the consumer side seems to be underserving this segment. Please share your thoughts with me!

If you've had experience wit this I'd love for you to also fill out the survey: https://forms.gle/3mmaS2bJCCvFpWAA7
