I had just taken it, but macOS quietly saved it somewhere on my desktop (alongside other screenshots I didn’t even remember taking).

A few minutes later, I copied something else and poof, the previous one was gone. That’s when I realized… something as simple as copy and paste could still be this broken.

Windows has clipboard history - you hit a shortcut, and every copied item is right there.
macOS? One clipboard entry at a time. Screenshots go to the desktop. The rest goes to chaos.

So I decided to fix it - for myself first.

That’s how ClipCare was born.
A small macOS utility that automatically keeps everything you copy text, images, links and screenshots - neatly organized and instantly ready to paste.

No saving. No searching. No clutter.

Built with Swift, focused on speed, simplicity, and a clean UI - just what you need, nothing extra.

After launch, users shared some awesome feedback:

2) Custom Shortcuts - because the default ⌘ + . was colliding with VS Code
