So it begins...
Every tool that can handle large files wants something back. WeTransfer turns the transfer into their ad. Dropbox requires commitment before you've sent anything. Google Drive works if everyone's already bought in, and you have the money for storage and dont mind them living forever until you delete them.
I got tired of it and built something that just sends the file. Chunks fingerprinted in the browser, encrypted at rest, stored in Switzerland, link gone in 3 days. No account, no ecosystem, no canvas.
Paying users, live product, solo-built. Looking for someone to own distribution while I keep building.

One thing I've noticed is that file transfer and cloud storage often get lumped together even though they're solving different problems.
Most people I know don't want a file transfer link turning into long-term storage, and they don't want long-term storage acting like a temporary transfer tool either.
That's partly why I've ended up trying a mix of services over time, including things like All Cloud Hub for managing files across different cloud accounts. The challenge usually isn't sending the file. It's figuring out where it should live after the transfer is over.
One thing I'd be careful with:
The interesting question may not be who owns distribution.
It may be what exactly distribution is supposed to prove from here.
Those sound similar, but they can lead to very different decisions about partnerships, channels, and what signals deserve confidence.
I wouldn't make that call casually this early.
