The private edit mode is the bit I like here. Being able to fix the text after sending the link without giving the other person control is a small detail but actually useful. CopyToPaste feels like it could be pulling in a lot more organic traffic than it probably is right now, especially for such a simple one-purpose tool. Have you seen any unexpected ways people are using the links yet?
The payment-step behavior makes the question more interesting than the usual “which idea sounds better?” test. What are you looking for in the early users to decide which of those two motivations is actually strong enough to build the product around?
