I actually liked that you drew a line between curated directories and the spammy ones instead of pretending they're all the same. That made the writeup feel a lot more grounded.
It also gave me the feeling this could naturally be getting a lot more organic traffic than it probably is already. With something that's clearly established that kind of extra pull tends to compound.
