Refactoring Amplify to terraform
Amplify turned out to be not the best choice to settle on as backend service:
- vendor lock-in for aws
- no practical pipeline first approach
- many features are bleeding edge and you will spend frustrating hours on bugs that are not apparent
- Cloudformation
I found a guy on upwork that refactors the whole infrastructure in terraform for 100$ and it looks shiny!
If you need tips on that hmu
About
As a consultant i had all sorts of onboarding experiences. The best ones i had when the documentation was fun to read. I put some of my experiences into this tool and hope it helps more people around here

I am always surprised how so many people seem to like the pure AWS. Despite the reliability I find it such a bad developer experience.
But I don't see how terraform is a replacement for Amplify?!
