Dropbox support added to the latest release of FileLever v1.0.0. Now users can sync and backup from local folders to Dropbox and vice-versa. Sync and backup made simple, intuitive and safe! Don't ever loose any important data or files.
I built FileLever because managing files on a Mac still feels more frustrating than it should. Cleaning up storage, moving large folders, and figuring out what is actually taking up space often means juggling clunky tools or taking risks with files you care about.
I wanted something simpler and more trustworthy: a local-first app that helps you understand your storage, organize folders, and move files safely without sending everything to the cloud or using aggressive “cleanup” software.
FileLever is my attempt to make file management feel calm, transparent, and safe. The goal is to help people take control of their files and disk space with confidence instead of anxiety.

Hey Alfie - The main feature of FileLever is preview before any action. The user would have the option to review all the duplicate groups and files leading to those groups. The FileLever UI provides an intuitive interface to directly open the files from the app as well. So, the user is in always control before deletion. Even sync and file reviewer features starts with a preview UI/interface before users can actually sync or delete large files. So, deletion of files is an extended step into the workflow, not a first step that happens automatically.

Super clean — the ‘preview-first’ approach removes a huge amount of fear, which is where most tools like this lose users.
One thing I’d be curious about: do users actually complete the cleanup after preview, or do some stall there?
We’ve seen cases where reducing risk increases trust, but also delays action — there’s usually a small UX nudge that unlocks completion.
