Your own production experience gives Filmari a very clear origin. The interesting question is what happens when that workflow extends beyond your own set.

As you've shown Filmari to other independent filmmakers or small crews, which parts of the problem have they recognized immediately without you needing to explain why the app exists?

Hi Aryan. Thanks for reply. Interesting questions. Yeah, it started with creating individual tools that I was missing on my sets. But over time, I began to look at it in a much more comprehensive way. The advantage of having all these tools in one app is that they can easily work together.

So far, the biggest benefit has been mainly in inventory management and packing lists, battery planning, data planning etc. Video production involves a lot of equipment. Most independent filmmakers I've shown Filmari to immediately recognize the problem of keeping gear organized, reusing equipment lists, and making sure nothing gets left behind before a shoot. Another common fav tool is shotlists.

My own experience was the starting point, but the goal has always been to solve problems that most freelance filmmakers and small production teams run into sooner or later.

That’s helpful context. The difference between solving your own production problems and seeing other filmmakers immediately recognize the same friction is an interesting transition point.

I’d like to continue the conversation outside the thread. What’s the best email to reach you on?
