The interesting question isn't whether the software is built—it's whether the business is. I'd keep validating whether the buyer is acquiring code or a repeatable customer acquisition engine. One scales much faster than the other, and it changes how the asset should be valued.

"Hi Aryan, thanks for the insightful point! Currently, the asset is focused on the technical engine (the 'code' as you put it), which is fully validated and operational for tax-loss and arbitrage logic. I'm positioning it as a 'head-start' for a founder who wants to skip the 6-month development phase and jump straight into customer acquisition/marketing. Totally agree that a repeatable engine scales faster—that's exactly what I'm looking for the next owner to build upon!"

        That makes sense.

The distinction is important because the value of these assets often depends less on what exists today and more on what future owner has to prove next.

Finding the repeatable acquisition path is usually the point where a technical asset starts becoming a business.

"Spot on, Aryan. That ‘proving’ phase is exactly where the value unlock happens. I’ve documented the technical architecture and the roadmap for the acquisition, so the new owner can focus entirely on proving that repeatable acquisition path. Thanks for pushing me to clarify this distinction—it’s crucial for any potential buyer."

            Exactly.

For buyers of these kinds of assets, the key question usually becomes less "does this work?" and more "what uncertainty am I taking on after purchase?"

Making that uncertainty explicit is often what separates a technical asset from a business opportunity.

"You've hit the nail on the head, Aryan. I’ve actually laid out the roadmap to address that uncertainty in the Deal Room (link in bio). If you're a founder or investor who appreciates this level of transparency, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the asset. Are you currently looking at any crypto-fintech acquisitions, or are you strictly advising?"

                Appreciate the context.

I'm not actively looking at crypto-fintech acquisitions. My interest was more around the strategic side of how technical assets become businesses — especially the gap between having something functional and proving repeatable demand.

The distinction you made around making uncertainty explicit is the part I found interesting.
