Why I built Geomatic AI: bringing AI-First SEO to WordPress

I’m Jason Mike, a solo dev working on Geomatic AI, a WordPress plugin designed for AI-First SEO, also called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
The problem
WordPress has great SEO plugins like Yoast and Rank Math. They work well for traditional search engines.
But search is changing with Google SGE, ChatGPT Search, and AI-driven platforms.
These plugins were not built for this shift.
Why I built Geomatic AI
I wanted to create a plugin that prepares websites for the future of search.
Geomatic AI automates more than 180 SEO tasks, including:
Metadata generation (titles, descriptions, JSON-LD)
Internal linking automation
AI sitemap creation alongside XML sitemaps
AI bot traffic detection
Predictive crawl insights
It comes with 3 setup modes (Passive, Standard, Aggressive), so users can choose how much automation they want.
Why it exists
SEO plugins of the past focus only on Google rankings.
Geomatic AI exists to reduce manual work and make WordPress sites visible in both traditional search engines and AI-driven engines.

Right now, I’m mainly exploring organic channels and communities where WordPress and SEO users are already active. I’ve started with platforms like Product Hunt, AlternativeTo, G2 and Indie Hackers, and I’m also looking at WordPress/SEO communities, Reddit and direct outreach.
Since Geomatic AI focuses on AI-first SEO and GEO, I’m particularly interested in reaching WordPress site owners, SEO professionals and agencies that are starting to think about visibility in AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
At this stage, the main goal is really to get early users, collect feedback and understand which acquisition channels work best before investing more heavily in growth.
