Background Remover AI & Visual Enhancer
I've been thinking about this a lot while building GetAIcraft.com , an AI tool that transforms static product images into short-form videos for Shopify and Etsy sellers.
Instead of fighting the AI wave, I’m using it to solve real problems:
Automating background replacement
Creating engaging product videos from a single image
Enabling non-technical users to generate professional visuals in seconds
So if AI is going to write our code, maybe our focus should shift to:
Understanding real-world problems deeply
Crafting better UX around AI
Building distribution channels, not just features
What are you working on that AI can’t easily replace?
Hey everyone 👋
A month ago, I quit my job to fully commit to building my AI startup: GetAIcraft.com — an AI-powered visual content platform for product sellers.
Sounds cool, right? But here’s the reality:
✅ I built and launched the MVP in ~3 weeks
📈 Got 250+ visitors in the first month
❌ 0 sales so far
😅 My runway = 4 months of savings
What does the product do?
🪄 It uses AI to help Shopify & Etsy sellers upgrade their product visuals:
Remove & change backgrounds in 1 click
Generate product showcase videos from still images
Even change dress styles with AI (great for mockups and fashion shops)
It’s designed for busy solopreneurs who don’t have time (or budget) for studio shoots and video editors.
So… why no sales?
I think I fell into the “builder’s trap”:
I focused too much on the product and too little on distribution.
No email list, no partnerships, no community seeding.
Just shipped and hoped.
But now I’m shifting gears:
🚀 Starting a content plan
🤝 Talking directly to early users (DMs, Reddit, forums)
📹 Launching mini demo videos on Twitter & TikTok
💬 Collecting brutally honest feedback
Why this is still exciting:
Because I’m learning faster than ever.
Because I’ve never felt this focused.
Because I truly believe in helping indie sellers shine with better visuals.
And honestly… I’d rather fail building something I believe in than succeed building someone else’s dream.
If you’ve built or launched something solo — I’d love to hear what worked for you in the early days.
Also: if you sell on Etsy/Shopify or know someone who does — I’d love to give you free credits to try the tool.
Let’s connect 💬
And thanks for reading ❤️

Wishing you the best! Great write up and way to keep going - you got this!
I'm going through something similar it's just overwhelming with all of these products now coming out with the AI explosion. It's scary seeing little growth, but nothing happens overnight and everything takes time. Keep pivoting when needed and refocus on the next challenge.
