Hello All,

Before I talk about my product, I want to talk about my own personal story. It is pretty similar to any other founder but might just act as inspiration for you to give it one more try.

About 6 years ago at the peak of Covid, much like many others at the time, I decided to do a side hustle and started working as a copywriter. The journey started with Fiverr and soon scaled to a personal agency where I had 5 freelancers working with me. Our niche was web3.0 and we used to write about blockchains, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. We even marketed products on YouTube and Instagram. I had a lot of fun then and earned a significant amount of money.

But I always knew that my interest was in building products and software. Although I am not a developer, I knew the PM side of me could be useful to build solid products. That is also when I got a full time job in my primary career. I started receiving a fixed hefty cheque because of it and my interest dwindled. I also lost interest in my freelancing gigs eventually. Especially with ChatGPT being the norm, I figured copywriting would take a massive hit. Also Web3.0 started to decline and with that my market base.

It was draining at that time. I had lost something I built over 3 years. I lost my freelancers, my clients, and the revenue. I was not able to understand what was happening. During that time, I had also started a new venture.

I aimed to develop an all in one suite for freelancers to create invoices, create customizable contracts, track clients, manage expenses, and monitor hours on projects. It was supposed to act as a quick dashboard for freelancers where they can see all information in a single go. For a non developer like me, it was a daunting task. Understanding React, JSON, CSS, GitHub, and Vercel was frankly not my cup of tea. I tried a lot with website builders and coding myself, but I simply was not able to do it.

Eventually I lost interest and just gave up under the comfort of a full time paying job.

But recently I was going through my earlier chats with my team, financial reports, and articles I wrote. I was so proud of myself. Frankly it felt as if I did not even know who I was or what I had done earlier. I suddenly had a huge surge of pride which made me think that maybe I can do it again. And so I did, but better this time.

Times have changed drastically since 3 or 4 years ago. We have AI agents for everything now, including building a website and a dashboard for my clients. I used Claude and Lovable to develop my own website tool, https://www.gigledgers.com/, to help current age freelancers. To my surprise the market has not changed much and there is still room for me.

GigLedgers is aimed to be an all in one suite only for freelancers so there is nothing complicated. It includes client history, contracts, and invoices which sync with each other. It also has a built in timesheet to record time on tasks. It will also have expense tracking for tax management and a testimonial getter to ease the burden on freelancers. This allows them to focus only on what they are good at.

This was all possible due to AI agents. It took me a week to develop a landing page earlier, but with AI I was able to do that in 15 minutes. I have a fully working website launched in under a week and I am ready for you guys to roast the product so I can improve it. I am even able to use these agents to optimize my website for SEO much quicker than ever before. I really am thankful for that.

To conclude, if anyone has had a similar trajectory of events, I would highly urge you all to come back to your idea and your goal. Whatever the reason might have been in the past for you to quit, times have changed. This is a newer you who has access to newer tools. I highly urge you all to come back and give it another shot.
