Indie Launchers
Product launching platform that grants maximum visibility
Over the past 9 months, I've seen people complain about Product Hunt and its respective counterparts, clones, and alternatives. It didn't take long to find the missing link and bridge the gap between popular demand and customer satisfaction.
That's the story of how Indie Launchers was born. After a little brainstorming, browsing, and researching, I figured it was time to join in on the fun with my own platform that caters to the needs of the collective.
Common Complaints:
People don't wan to "play-to-win"
Everybody who's starting out generally hates upfront payments for visibility that doesn't guarantee desired results, especially across multiple directories with similar expectations
Creators are begging to be seen, not constantly buried under the rubble of the products that blew up and flourished every time, leaving no breathing room for the rest of us
The ultimate solution? Indie Launchers:
Launch as often as you like; you have control over your schedule
Rotational schedule guarantees maximum visibility even after launch day
Regardless of your chosen time slot, your product will always be rotated until it reaches the top stop - never be buried again
Advanced analytics - we don't just launch and forget, we launch and iterate. Users leave their feedback, you track their metrics and determine where you need to improve.
Suggestion Box anyone? With our two-way suggestions feature, your users send a request, report, improvement suggestion, other users may choose to upvote or downvote, based on the counts, you determine if it's in high enough demand to implement it. From your end, you update the status and leave notes once the process is complete (like a mini task management pipeline).
Built in feedback loop is what most platforms are lacking, Indie Launchers covers all the bases.
On April 19th, I had what I thought was an "A-ha!" moment to build a creative and fun tool for generating hero texts.
The goal was simple: use AI to generate hero texts for online businesses. Namely SaaS tools for people just starting out in their respective industry. I researched a few excellent tools that achieve the same goal on a broader scale and figured out what they do differently but came to the conclusion that simple yet effective is better than an all-in-one solution that could be hard to build or scale.
My initial hope was to build an MVP using GPT3.5-turbo as the base model and expand it and make it more robust by using GPT-4 for a paid plan with more diverse and improved responses.
Here's how it works:
- you'll see a form that allows you to add your niche, include your business purpose, and set the tone of your text
- submit the form and wait a few seconds for the generator to do its thing
- once the text generation is complete, you'll see 6 stylish cards showing different headlines and descriptions for your hero section
- you'll have the option to copy the plain text or the HTML code with tailwind classes already embedded
- once copied, you can tailor the texts to your specific needs or use cases
- bonus: refresh to get better responses.
The app offers 2 requests to initially test out the app before signing up. After you've used them up, you'll be prompted to sign up. Once signed up you'll get 5 free daily requests to use to your heart's content.
That's it. Feedback is always appreciated.
