I shipped a $12 pack of night B-roll stills so I don’t have to film empty rooms
I needed late-shift B-roll (rain, diner at 1am, motel hall, empty platform) and didn’t want to go shoot it.
Late Shift is eight stills. PNG, 1536×1024 (3:2). Rain on glass, diner, garage, motel, laundry, pharmacy, platform, vending. Personal and commercial use. Don’t resell the pack.

If you make videos: would you actually buy stills, or do you always grab them from a clip?

The “diner at 1am” and empty platform choices are oddly specific in a good way. Those are exactly the shots that are annoying to fake or go film just for one edit.
Feels like this could be pulling a lot more organic traffic than it is right now, especially while you’re testing whether people will actually pay $12 for this kind of thing.
Have you been surprised by who’s actually clicking through so far?
Thanks — yeah, the diner-at-1am and empty platform were deliberate. Those are the exact frames that usually force you to either stage something awkward, hunt through stock for something close enough, or just settle for a worse shot. Figured if the pack only solved two or three of those “I need this specific mood and don’t want to film it” problems, it was worth shipping.
Traffic is still very early / quiet so far (pretty much what I expected with zero existing audience). The few people who have clicked through have mostly been other solo makers and a couple of video-essay types rather than big streamers. No real surprises yet on who, just that anyone is clicking at all when I posted it as a pure experiment.
Curious if you’ve run into the same “annoying to fake or film just for one edit” problem with night/urban B-roll, or if you usually just pull frames from footage you already have.
