Homestead Found

Discover homes beyond the places you know

July 17, 2026 Somewhere else was always an option.

I’ve always found it interesting that most real estate apps assume you already know where you want to live.

But what if you don’t?

When I was looking, I didn’t want another tool that helped me search faster within the same few cities I already knew. I wanted something that could show me places I hadn’t considered, explain what daily life actually looked like there, and tell me what it would really cost to live there.

That idea became Homestead Found.

Today, it searches tens of thousands of homes across 100+ towns in 22 states, ranking them in one pool instead of forcing you to search one zip code at a time. It looks beyond bedrooms and price to understand the things that shape everyday life—neighborhood character, surroundings, nature, amenities, and the true cost of living.

I’m building it solo, bootstrapped, subscription-funded, and without commissions. The goal is simple: help people discover better places to live, including places they may have never thought to look.

The product has come a long way. The challenge now is distribution.

If you’ve built or grown a consumer subscription product through organic channels, I’d love to learn from your experience and compare notes.

About

Every real estate app I tried assumed I already knew where I wanted to live. I didn't. Most home search starts with a zip code you picked in advance, and the right place is often outside that circle. Homestead Found exis
