I Self Coach B.V.

After our soft-launch in April 2021, we decided to go fully live, with our social marketing on the go too. And involve friends and family to spread the word. That was really magical, the amount of support we received from our direct environment was big.

We received our first funding from the Dutch government!
Because of the pandemic, many subventions were put on hold which made it quite difficult to apply for the big sums. But after a long effort, we finally received our first sum! This made it possible to continue our development and start advertising our hard-launch.

We only announced our soft-launch on our own social media and received some traction. The interest and help from friends and family were definitely valuable but we started getting our first actual paid user on this day! A huge excitement and encouragement, every small step counts!

After doing a lot of research, talking with universities, companies, and after receiving a good amount of feedback from our MVP, I decided to start to develop a beta version of this software idea. I started spreading the word around me that I am looking for a developer and got lucky to find a really good laravel developer who helped me set the first stages into work.

From just developing a beta-version, to deciding to actualize the product even more, especially because we were having active user-testers who were giving us profound feedback while we were in development. Which made us decide to soft-launch the product and try to get more users and traction.

Realized to find 5 testers who were not related to me at all, where one of them was a general doctor and the other a psychologist. Their feedback was super critical before moving to the next stage of setting this company.
Besides these 5, other people in my direct environment were interested as well to be a tester.

within a month, I created an MVP using Typeform and PDF files to send via email to testers. After the idea, I've been working on the content and afterwards, started doing a lot of research. Which made it possible for me to write down and sketch the process in a month.

I Self Coach is officially a company and in the Chamber of Commerce. Although the company was still new and I did not have any product yet, I still decided to take this step because there was a possible lead to work with a university. Also, the name I Self Coach is pretty awesome and I wanted to make sure I captured it.

for at least 3 years I've been walking with the idea of coaching others or helping others to gain more inner-strength but nothing really sat really good with me. And by just continuing to grow my own awareness, this idea suddenly came to me, right when taking a shower. Yes, good ideas really can come while taking a shower. But this one was different, it felt right! I jumped out of the shower, making everything wet just to write down the idea before I lose it, like many other ideas I would have but forget after the shower. This idea is still accurate to this day! The term " self-coaching" was unfamiliar to me but yet, the idea was born; We need to challenge our comfort zone and create a tool, software that is approachable for everyone so people can do it on their own terms!
