May 5, 2026 Day 17 Updates

Day 17 of building Knowledge Core,

UPDATES!

Knowledge Core: knowledge-core-rouge.vercel.app

Today, I did these things in it.

1. I improved onboarding.

2. I tried working on right click functions, and multi-click to make it more convenient but failed at it, would work more on it.

3. Improved "Daily Briefing" shipped V2 for it.

Now more suggestions would be there, more personalized experience, auto opens once a day, and just for some testing it would now auto redirect to a thought captured previously.

Let's see how it goes, do check it once and review how you like it and how it can be better.

I also applied at @ycombinator today, and we hope and work for the best.

April 29, 2026 Day 12 Updates!

Day 12 of building Knowledge Core, UPDATES!

1. Added time zone-safe logic so the weekly reflection shows exactly once per week local Sunday and never repeats due to UTC date drift.

2. Updated the modal title and heading to reflect Sunday timing more clearly, while keeping the same design language.

3. Computed insights can be found useful directly from already available feedback state instead of querying on opening, so the modal loads instantly.

4. Made some slight UI improvements.

5. Made small improvements in Thought Evolution and Aging which was introduced yesterday.

6. Implemented a polished empty state in Evolution View that explains that there are no such thoughts for the selected tag and suggested how to create one.

7. Improved the timeline process bar in the Thought Evolution to scale dots by thought density and show clusters more clearly. T

hese are some things I worked on today, and implemented inside the app. Still trying to make it as useable, and good as possible, but sometimes it's not possible, but still try doing it.

That's what I shipped till now and would try working on these later in the day. Try using it for absolutely free of cost and no friction:

http://knowledge-core-rouge.vercel.app

Still maintaining the core promise, be fast, simple, powerful and elegant, without adding complexity.

Please don't forget to use it well, and give genuine reviews, even some points would matter a lot for me as a solo builder. Thanks a lot!

April 27, 2026 Day 10 Updates!

Day 10 of Building Knowledge Core in public. UPDATES! Today, improved these things:

1. I improved the "Next Step Layer" which I introduced yesterday, and I made it functionable, now it stores across those three sections: Ideas, Questions, tasks and decisions. Now, you can store across all four sections all at the same time, without any mess.

2. The overall user interface and experience has been improved for that part. now, you will be able to see a proper section where you can see your "Ready to move" which makes things more accessible, fast, and better.

Today, I also tried working on enabling payments, adding the proper gateway, but I failed badly in it. But, I would also work on this and make the overall system better.

Thanks!

April 26, 2026 Knowledge Core Update!

Day 9 for building Knowledge Core.
UPDATES!

Today, I worked on two things.

• Fixed accessibility issues (labels, structure)
• Cleaned up mobile UX (tap targets)
• Improved SEO + social previews
• Removed broken links and polish gaps.

And today I introduce you: "next step layer". Capturing things is already really good, and it helps well. But I added one more way to make your captured content even better. Now, once you capture something, apart from older things it used to show and work on, it would now have one more option in which you can turn any captured content into:

1. A next action.
2. A question, task, idea or decision.

I believed it's valuable to add because:

1. It turns reflection into momentum.
2. It makes resurfacing more useful.
3. It helps the app become more than beautiful note vault.

A good version of this would have much better and some more things to do, but today what I shipped is an early version of it.

Adding the Next Step Layer was a high value thing as that makes the app feel more useful. I would be improving this layer more ahead, so just give a look and use it, it might not be the good thing as it's early version, but in some time, I would ship even better proper working version for it.

Sign up now, start capturing, rediscover the hidden things in your own brain. http://knowledge-core-rouge.vercel.app

Try it out, share with other people! Don't forget to give proper feedback, as your feedback is the future of the product.

April 25, 2026 Knowledge Core Updates!

Day-8 of building Knowledge Core in public. Today, I tried making existing system better. I tried making the app more alive, which simply means, I tried making it more "yours", if you explore the app, and use it properly, you will notice, it will start engaging and showing things which make sense, connect patterns, and show much better results than before.

Here's all the things I updated:

1. Daily Mind Briefing: It now has a bit more specialized message and connections from other messages. Every sentence will now contain your actually saved data, your tags, your numbers, your thoughts.

2. Also added time-based greetings for Morning, Afternoon, and evening.

3. Resurface Engine: It now explains itself, by adding why this? tooltip on every resurfaced thought. Hover it and see the exact tags and keywords that caused it to surface. Also added two reaction buttons per resurfaced thought: Still relevant Not relevant. This feedback will make the engine smarter over time.

4. Pattern Awareness: It's now more specific and helps with identifying what kind of things are most often and connects. It has Dynamic headers based on pattern age and strength.

5. Added depth score bad on each pattern card. Depth, not strength, because deep patterns feel significant.

6. Connected Ideas: Now can explain connections. Every related thought now shows why it's connected. Connected thoughts now stagger in one by one as if being discovered in real time.

7. Thought status: Marking a thought as done now triggers a subtle particle burst animation at the dot. A thought completed message will be shown.

8. Streak milestones made a bit better. These are small but kind of things which are simple, and these make the overall experience of the app very well, and it helps user to make it feel more personal than a regular app.

Simple changes, makes the product overall better. Making the product that feels like it was built specifically for you.

The longer you use the knowledge core, the more it reflects your mind back at you, and you'll realize how patterns are connected, thoughts are connected, and all things somewhat makes sense together at one place.

"Never lose a thought again" is what I am continuing to sharp.

I would iterate daily until every moment in the app feels precise, personal and real.

April 23, 2026 Updates

I'm 18 years old, around 2-3 weeks ago, I started with web dev. Today, I have a live product with a single digit user. Here's what happened. I kept losing important thoughts, ideas, tasks, and thing I wanted to go through across the web, were all gone before I could act on them. So, I built something to fix it.

I launched Knowledge core, a fast minimal thought capture tool that actually brink back your ideas and important stuff, back to you. Here's what I have built in it so far:

1. Instant capture: Type, tag and enter. Done in seconds.

2. Connected Ideas: Every thought links to related once automatically.

3. Resurface Engine: Forgotten thoughts from multiple days ago surface when you need them.

4. Pattern Awareness: Detects what you keep thinking about across days and shows it to you.

5. Thoughts Status: Mark ideas as captured, in progress or done.

6. Daily streaks: Builds the habit of capturing every day.

7. Chrome/edge Extension: Capture from everywhere around the browser, with ctrl + shift +k. Capture even faster! 8. Dark/Light mode, keyboard shortcuts, reminders and more.

The vision is bigger than this. I want to build more in here, taking things to new heights. Building using AI actually helped me gain speed and momentum, thanks to @Lovable and for deploying this thanks to @Vercel.

AI Assisted coding and building helped me in this, also in my journey where I am learning and building with code.

But right now, I'm heads down making things so good that people can't imagine their day without it.

Free plan is available, Pro plan is for $6 a month and $50 a year.

Currently, free plan is what is working, soon paid plans would be active too. Till then, you can use maximum performance and usage in the system. Would make it paid after some time.

Try it: http://knowledge-core-rouge.vercel.app Would love your honest feedback.

What would make you use this every day?

April 22, 2026 Update!

After last update, these are the things which got small updates and got even better.

Things which changed:

. Related thoughts are now actually relevant.

Now thoughts would be more filtered, ranked and explained.

. Resurfacing

Old ideas come back based on what you've been thinking about recently.

. Every suggestion has some meaning behind.

Example: Because you've been thinking about "#startup", etc.

. Strongest connections to the thought are highlighted.

So, it's not just a list, this thing adds and makes it feel like a proper structure.

. "Important Ideas" started emerging.

Based on what keeps coming back, if you're repeatedly working on same idea, and you properly save it, you will feel how useful it is.

. Reminders are now more improved.

Earlier, they just reminded that you have set to ping yourself at that time, but now they actually bring the thoughts back with context and pings you which gives more clarity and speed.

The fact is I've not introduced AI into Knowledge Core yet, and still, it performs really good.

Surely, after some traction and user demand, I would surely add APIs of one of the best AI models, so that it could take your user experience and overall software's powers to a new level.

Currently, it's not needed, but once I see demand in future ahead, I would introduce "AI powered Knowledge Core".

It's still early but for the first time it started to feel more like something that might actually help my thinking, structure it, and connect to old thoughts and ideas well.

Do you guys revisit your old ideas? or just are a "collector"?

Thanks

No duplicate spam
No same thoughts again and again

• Reminders

• Dark / Light UI
Clean, fast, minimal.

I have been building it to improve user journey inside the app, trying to make it simpler, proper, sharper, fast, and make the experience of using it worthy.

Today, Knowledge Core is a bit ahead of what it was a few days ago, I've been shipping it almost daily to improve the overall product and user experience with us. I have almost destroyed the entire product 2-3 times because of some big mistakes, but was able to fix them, it's tough to build something also taking care that the software doesn't gets bloated, and cluttered for the user, and especially in the market we are building, we cannot expect clutter even though software in the market are full of clutter.

Ever after all those things, I've managed to keep Knowledge Core as much as clean, minimal, premium, usable, and great at the same time. No clutter, No bloat, No ads, nothing.

Because I care that true value shall be delivered for my users without making them feel heavy.

Thanks!

April 20, 2026 Knowledge Core update: Cleaned up the landing page + fixed UI issues (still free)

Hello IH community,

Quick transparent update on Knowledge Core: Tool to quickly capture thoughts, ideas, day to day work tasks and life with #tags, fast search, and smart resurfacing.

What I shipped recently:

Removed some claims from the landing page which were of no use.
Fixed Alignment issues in the features and pricing sections so the overall looks of cards became cleaner and more professional on desktop + mobile.
Moved hosting to @vercel for better performance.

The core idea remains the same: We are trying to make it dead simple to never lose another random idea, thoughts, important things you find on the internet and regarding your life and work during the day.

Current Status:

  1. Free tier is live and unlimited for now.

  2. We have around 5 signups and around 2 active users for now, not great but good as we are very new.

  3. We're personally reaching out to users for real feedback, so please use it well and share things.

Would love your thoughts:

  1. Does the value proposition feel clear now?

  2. What small features would make you actually use a tool like this daily?

  3. Any suggestions and improvements to ship?

Hey — saw your update on Knowledge Core.

Looks like you’re still in that early phase where product is built but user adoption is the main challenge.

I work around early-stage product visibility and getting initial real users from relevant communities.

If you’re open, I can take a quick look and share how you can improve early traction for a tool like this.

  2. 1

Hey, I am not here to give feedback. Just wanted to ask a question (feel free to ignore it if you’d rather not answer)

How do you reach out to people to get them to try your product? And how long did it take you to get your first 5 sign-ups?

    1. 1

It took me 1 day to get 5 sign ups, after multiple posts on X and launch on Indie Hacers and Product hunt.
And, to be more precise, I got 2 users from outreaching my contacts, two of my friends agreed to join.
      So, I have 7 users.

Its less but it's also brutal to get users.

      1. 1

cool bro, also are you serious about this product? if yes, why not get a domain man?

        1. 1

To be honest, I really can't think of a good name, knowledge core sounded good for a time, so that's why I have kept that right now, I want a proper good name, I want to do this as a startup ahead too, so I need a good name, this is also good but could be better.
The domains nowadays are already sold out, I was getting one for .app but it was $15, and right now I can't spend that much.

So, once revenue starts flowing ahead, I would surely make some reasonable upgrades.

About

I think a lot, some crazy thoughts and ideas strike my mind daily, also in my day-to-day life, I had many things to do daily, but unfortunately, I forgot most of them. So, I built this which solved it. Try it out!
