Hey! Great idea, but don't you have problems with privacy? Is so small that you can record everything without people knowing.

Good question! We get that a lot. We operate in jurisdictions where it isn't too much a concern. US & Asia (Europe bit difficult), however, it all comes down to the end user who has the ring.

At the end of the day, it's the user who is responsible to disclose that the conversation is being recorded. We live with devices 24/7 around us, who's to say they don't just hit record and put the phone in their pocket.

In terms of data privacy however, we take that very seriously. We isolate every single instance (i.e user profile) in a separate pod. The user owns their data, if they want to request it be deleted we can arrange that for them. We never train nor sell user data. We use on-device standard AES-256 encryption.

The move from meeting software to a dedicated physical device is the interesting bet here.

With the people pre-ordering Zero One so far, are you seeing them buy primarily because the ring removes the need to pull out a phone/laptop during conversations, or because they want the persistent memory and follow-up layer afterward?

Hey Aryan, thanks for the question! It's been a mix of both:

      • A lot of user complaints about the awkward form factor of existing "solutions". Glasses, everyone feels very uncomfortable talking to. Phone mounts (Plaud/Pocket) where you have to awkwardly hold your phone in your hand whilst talking to people.

      • The memory has been less of interest (all be it useful the more you use Zero), but it's been more our app integrations that have interested users. We have shy of 800 app integrations, think Jira, Salesforce, Hubspot etc... and tie that in with our Agent Zero who can pull context from your conversations that you recorded with the ring + what is perhaps already stored in your teams CRM, you can create automated workflows super easily with simple natural language.

Hope this helps! Happy to answer any other questions you may have.

That’s helpful context. The difference between the initial hardware problem and the workflow layer people are responding to is interesting.

I’d like to continue the conversation outside the thread. What’s the best email to reach you on?

You can reach me at matt@meetzero. ai, or if easier and you use Telegram you can contact me there: @avgnomad.

Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.

Hey Aryan, weirdly haven't received anything. Please double check you typed in the correct email address.

Thanks for letting me know, Matthieu. I’ve double-checked — I sent it from hello@beryxa.com to matt@meetzero.ai.

Could you check your spam/promotions folder as well? Sometimes first emails from a new domain get filtered.

Let me know if it still doesn’t come through and I’ll resend another way.
