Turn musical ideas into songs, lyrics, and visual stories.

September 1, 2026 The work after generating a song is where the friction begins

The first version of Movtool started from a simple annoyance: generating a track was often the easy part. I still had to refine the lyrics, align them with the audio, create LRC timestamps, plan the visual story, and clean up the final file.

These small tasks were spread across different tools and file formats, so I built Movtool to connect them in one place. It combines AI music and lyric creation with LRC timing, MV storyboards, and basic audio utilities.

The goal is not to replace musicians or reduce music-making to a single button. It is to reduce the friction between a rough idea and something you can listen to, share, and continue editing.

I’m still exploring where the boundary should be between automation and creative control.

This is amazing. Would love for this to be connected to a monetization platform for users to make money with their music.

The post-generation workflow feels like the stronger wedge here. Curious whether users are coming to Movtool primarily to create music, or because finishing the output—lyrics, timing, visuals, and file cleanup—is where they lose the most time.

The former accounts for a larger share, and this is also our core functionality.

That makes sense. I’ll be interested to see how the post-generation side develops as more users come through.
