Built a free neuroscience learning platform entirely on my Android phone — 457 users across 9+ countries so far

I'm Gideon, a recent secondary school graduate in Lagos, Nigeria. No laptop, no dev team — I taught myself to code and built this entirely on my phone.

What it is:

Neurovascular Dynamic Lab — a free neuroscience learning site with an interactive brain map, quizzes, flashcards, and study resources. Built for students and anyone curious about how the brain works.

Traction so far:

- 457 active users

- Users in the US, Nigeria, India, UK, Germany, South Africa, Egypt, and more

- All organic — one LinkedIn post did most of the heavy lifting

- Firebase auth + Firestore backend, GitHub Pages hosting — $0 spent

What I'm working on now:

Getting more people to actually create accounts (vs. just browsing anonymously) so I can build features like progress tracking and personalized study plans. Right now conversion from visitor to signed-in user is low, so I'm experimenting with in-context prompts instead of gating content.

What I'd love from this community:

- Brutally honest feedback on the site itself

- Ideas for free/no-budget growth channels I haven't tried yet

- Anyone who's grown an edtech/learning tool from a similar starting point — what worked for you?
