Tools That Make You Smarter
A few months back I got fed up scrolling through "best CRM tools 2026" articles that all read the same — vague 5-star ratings, zero real pricing detail, and every single tool somehow "the best." Most of them were clearly written to rank on Google, not to actually help anyone choose.
So I started Offerseye, mostly nights and weekends alongside my full-time job. The rule I set for myself: no pay-to-rank listings, and every review has to answer the one question people actually care about — is this worth my money, and what's it really going to cost me once you add the hidden fees?
It's still early — solo founder, building content, fixing SEO, chasing my first real backlinks (this post included, not gonna lie 😄). But the response from a few solo founders and freelancers who've used it so far has been the thing that keeps me going.
Curious — for the other indie hackers here, how are you all deciding which SaaS tools to actually pay for? Word of mouth, review sites, just trial and error?

This is a real trust problem, not just a content problem.
Most “best tools” pages fail because they optimize for ranking instead of decision-making — so you end up with information density that’s high on claims but low on cost + tradeoff clarity.
Curious how you’re thinking about structuring comparisons so it stays opinionated without turning into another affiliate list.
