OPINIX is a platform that connects businesses, researchers,
I'm building Opinix, a survey rewards platform.
We're currently at 14 users.
The interesting part?
We added 11 users on the first day, then growth almost completely stopped.
We've had two consecutive days with 0 new users.
I'm now testing different acquisition channels and trying to understand why people don't move from seeing the product to actually signing up.
I'm also working on a bigger problem: third-party survey disqualifications.
I'm exploring building Opinix-owned surveys so users can have a more consistent earning experience.
For anyone who's built a consumer product:
What was the biggest change that finally made your early user acquisition start working?
I'd genuinely appreciate any advice.

The 11 users on day one followed by zero-growth days makes the funnel interesting. Do the existing users stay active when surveys are available, or are disqualifications already causing enough drop-off that acquisition would mostly refill a leaky bucket?
That's actually the clearest signal we've gotten so far.
We checked our early users, and all of them have been disqualified from the available third-party surveys.
So the leaky bucket is definitely on the survey side right now: users sign up, try to participate, get disqualified, and have no reason to keep coming back because they haven't been able to earn.
That's why I'm now testing Opinix-owned surveys. I want to see whether giving users surveys we control — where they can actually complete the survey and receive a reward — changes engagement and retention.
So our next experiment is essentially:
Third-party surveys → high disqualification → poor activation
versus
Opinix-owned surveys → completion → reward → return usage
It's still very early, but that finding has made the next product direction much clearer.
That’s a much clearer diagnosis. I’d be interested in seeing whether the owned-survey test changes retention. If you’re open to it, what’s the best email to reach you on?
Absolutely — you can reach me at oyigeyadan@gmail
That's my personal email, and I'm the founder of Opinix.
We're still very early, but I'd be happy to keep you updated on whether the Opinix-owned survey experiment improves retention and engagement.
Thanks for following the journey!
Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
