Oxid Note
Sticky notes that float above everything.
Here is a small frustration I had as a developer: Every time I needed to copy a temporary API key, paste a hex code, or jot down quick thoughts during a meeting, I had to Alt-Tab away from my workspace.
Default macOS Stickies feel stuck in 2005, and heavy Markdown tools eat up RAM just for a few temporary lines of text.
So I built Oxid Note—a native, floating sticky note app written in Rust for Mac.
Why it’s different:
Floats Above Everything: Keeps key info visible over your IDE, Figma, or Zoom without window switching.
Disappears While You Type: Adjustable transparency and a clean Focus Mode that hides all window chrome when typing.
Zero Lag: Built natively in Rust—boots instantly, uses practically zero CPU, and stays 100% offline & private.
Pay Once: $19 lifetime access (no monthly subscriptions).
I'm currently finalizing the launch and would love some early feedback from the community!
How do you guys handle quick, temporary notes while staying in your flow state?

About
Heavy note apps force constant window-switching, and Apple Stickies feels outdated. I built Oxid Note in Rust so Mac users can keep floating, semi-transparent notes over their workspace with zero lag.
