PharmaSafe
Pharmacovigilance analytics for exploring real-world adverse
Pharmacovigilance is essential for identifying and understanding potential medicine-related safety issues, but working with large adverse-event datasets can be difficult—especially for students and early researchers.
I built PharmaSafe to make that process simpler and more accessible.
PharmaSafe is an academic pharmacovigilance analytics platform that uses FDA AEMS/FAERS data through openFDA. It brings several useful PV capabilities into one interface, including drug–adverse event analysis, drug comparison, ROR and PRR signal detection, outcome analysis, trend exploration, and individual safety-report review.
I started this project as a way to combine what I was learning about pharmacovigilance with practical data analysis and create something people could actually interact with rather than just another academic project.
The goal isn’t to replace professional pharmacovigilance systems or make clinical decisions. Instead, PharmaSafe is designed as a learning, research, and exploration tool that helps users understand adverse-event data and common pharmacovigilance concepts.
I’m launching PharmaSafe to get feedback from pharmacovigilance professionals, pharmacy students, researchers, and anyone interested in drug safety.
Try PharmaSafe and let me know: What would you improve or add next?
