  1. wanted to give this version to someone to test, besides me

  2. sent emails to 70-80 people on waitlist - 0 responses

  3. generated some buzz and traffic on Facebook and reddit

  4. got my first user and gathered valuable feedback from others

I'm doing another round of improvements, but the todo list is getting big. Put a voting system, with canny.io where users can vote on features.

November 1, 2024 Built an MVP
  1. waitlist wasn't doing well and I thought it was not enough to communicate value proposition properly

  2. so I started building an MVP

  3. used opensaas.sh and DSL (wasp-lang.dev) to speed things up

  4. underestimated the effort and had a lot of scope creep

What was supposed to take one month, was only 30% complete three months in.😤 But at least I had a tool that automated 100% of what I was doing for my stores manually, saving me hours every week. 🥳

July 1, 2024 Automation with no-code
  1. created a make.com automation that replicates my manual flow

  2. became semi-manual, as I still had to copy-paste links for each product and adjust the prompt a bit

  3. tried ads again and failed spectacularly - got banned on google ads for "circumventing systems", no idea why 🤷‍♂️

  4. but now I was running the flow manually every day

Even though time per post was reduced from 30 to 5 minutes, I had to baby sit it and do a lot of copy pasting. Made a mistake of not promoting this or trying to offer it as a done-for-you service for potential customers. 😑

June 1, 2024 Built a waitlist
  1. built a landing page with unicornplatform.com, explaining the idea

  2. drafted screens with AntDesign components in Figma and added to the landing page

  3. connected to seobotai.com to generate blog articles on autopilot

  4. collected about 60 emails by running ads for a few days

  5. its continued collecting emails, but organically

I'm still posting manually by this point and it is generating traffic, which was my only goal for the stores at this point. 🥳

About

I launched a print-on-demand business with several stores, but managing the social media channels for each became overwhelming. To make things easier, I developed a tool to automate the process.
