July 14, 2026 I built ProofWrite AI because editing AI drafts was taking longer than generating them

AI can generate a draft in seconds, but I kept running into the same problem: the first version was rarely something I would publish.

The wording often felt stiff, ideas were repeated, and checking whether the rewrite preserved the original meaning required switching between several tools.

That is why I started building ProofWrite AI.

ProofWrite AI combines rewriting and quality review in one workflow. You paste in an AI-generated draft, choose the writing style you need, generate a revised version, and review the result without moving between multiple products.

The goal is not to replace the writer or automatically produce a “perfect” final version. I want to make the editing stage faster and give the writer more control over the result.

The product currently includes multiple rewriting modes for different use cases, along with tools for reviewing the output. It is free to try at:

I am still improving the product and would especially appreciate feedback on:

- Which rewriting mode is most useful

- Whether the revised text preserves the original meaning

- Where the workflow feels confusing or slow

- What feature would make you use it regularly

This is an early product, so honest criticism is genuinely helpful.

Editing AI output is becoming a workflow of its own. One thing I'd keep validating is whether users are trying to write better or simply reach a version they trust enough to publish. Those aren't necessarily the same problem.

About

I started ProofWrite AI after repeatedly running into the same problem: AI could produce a draft quickly, but turning it into something I would actually publish still required too many separate steps.
