I've spent the last few months building QuoteNexa — an AI sales copilot for product-based businesses: distributors, wholesalers and small manufacturers.
The problem I kept seeing I work with product businesses (telecom/electrical). Their reality: customers send RFQs asking for specs, prices and lead times — and the answers live in 30-page PDF manuals, a price spreadsheet, and the head of the most senior salesperson. What I learned so far (happy to expand)
"Answers with citations" is the feature — in B2B sales, an AI answer you can't verify is a liability, not a feature.
The workflow people will pay for is the boring one: ASK → RFQ → quote. Not another chatbot.
Scope discipline matters — we deliberately did NOT build an ERP.
