So 3 months down, I finally have my first 10 customers.

Here is the approach I used to get them.

1- Announce the free life time deal giveaway in the facebook groups (Attached a lot of LTD buyers who missed the giveaway). It also helped me get the initial product feedback to improve the product.

2- List on the SaaS / Product Launch websites like Betalist, Side Projectors and many others. I bought a service from EggIngredients to list us on 100+ such website in 100$. This has been useful giving us the initial SEO link juice as well.

3- I found a product evangelist, she alone has help me sell 5-6 LTD plans, for a 50% commission. We had to build a dashboard for her to track her sales.

4- Now, I kept reaching out to people who are coming organically as a result of last 2 steps to provide support and services and finally got my first monthly subscription.

On May 5 I announced the life time deal giveaway in one of the life time deal facebook communities.

With the help of group admin "Md Altiam" I was able to announce this random giveaway to people of his community.

20 basic plan LTD giveaways (Worth $1,000)
5 Pro Plan LTD giveaways (Worth $750)

The idea was to find early adaptors and users for the product who can share feedback and find bugs :)

And guess what? They did.

Results of the campaign?
50+ users registered on the platform to participate in the campaign.
5-8 people shared their valuable feedback & recommended a feature which we eventually built.

Key Takeaway:
Our tool is very scalable & doesn't rely on any third party APIs so our cost is well under control. Products or ideas like ours can try it without mounting up their server or third-party API costs to find the valuable feedback from an exclusive community.

So yesterday; I published a buggy version of the extension on chrome & it got approved.

Weird that I didn't get any notification about the extension being approved & published. But anyway. We are fixing some bugs today and hopefully relaunch today.

So there are a lot of tools for Linkedin DM, but none for facebook.

If you are like me you facebook might be a way for you to find your potential customers; either through groups or by DMs on facebook then you must have thought of this idea if you could send the automated DMs to a set of people.
