Sangathan

Most organizations today are running on a messy combination of WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets, Google Forms, shared drives and whatever other tools they can piece together.

That works when a group is small. It becomes painful when you have hundreds or thousands of people, multiple teams, ongoing campaigns, documents, resources and decisions that need to be coordinated.

That’s why I’m building Sangathan.

Sangathan is a mobile-first operating system for communities, NGOs, unions, citizen groups, student organizations and grassroots teams.

The idea is simple: put the infrastructure for organizing in one place.

You can manage members and teams, coordinate campaigns, share resources, track activities, conduct polls, manage documents and make collective decisions without stitching together five different products.

I’m building this with an India-first perspective, where community and grassroots organizations often have the people and motivation to create change but don't have purpose-built digital infrastructure.

The bigger vision is not to build another social network or another CRM.

It’s to build the operating layer for collective action.

Sangathan is currently in the early stage, and I’m looking for organizations, community builders and founders who are willing to try it, break it and tell me what’s missing.
