Private PDF Signing Tool — Sign PDFs Locally, No Uploads
I built SignifyPDF because I was frustrated by how most “free” PDF signing tools force users to upload sensitive documents to remote servers just to add a signature.
Whether it’s contracts, NDAs, tax forms, rental agreements, or legal documents, these files often contain highly personal or confidential information. Uploading them to unknown third-party servers always felt like an unnecessary privacy risk.
SignifyPDF exists to solve that.
It is a local-first PDF signing tool where everything happens directly inside your browser. Your files never leave your device, there are no accounts, no subscriptions, no watermarks, and no hidden processing in the cloud.
The goal is simple: make PDF signing fast, private, and accessible for everyone.

Worth separating two different privacy promises that look similar from the outside: "nothing ever leaves your device" (what you're doing here) versus "a server touches it but never stores it" (the other common approach for anything that has to run unattended, at scale, without a person present to click "sign"). They're not the same guarantee. Local-only is the stronger, cleaner claim, and it's the right one for a person manually signing one document, but it structurally can't cover any workflow that needs to happen automatically from a script or another system, since there's no open browser tab to do the work. Worth being precise about which of the two you're actually promising once someone asks the natural follow-up: "okay, what about doing this 500 times from a script?". Great idea and initiative!
Interesting build.
What I'd be curious about isn't whether people care about privacy in theory.
It's whether privacy is actually the reason they choose SignifyPDF over the alternatives.
I've seen products where the thing users praised most wasn't ultimately the thing that drove adoption.
Probably too early to know, but that's the signal I'd be watching.
