Smartr Intake

I’m building Smartr Intake, a micro-SaaS for a market most startups ignore: social workers and case managers.

In social services, paperwork is the bottleneck. Intakes, service plans, court packets, audits. Hours per client. High burnout. Real compliance risk. Most agencies either struggle with massive EHR systems or duct-tape Word docs, PDFs, and email together.

Smartr Intake focuses on just three workflows:

• Automating client intakes from scanned or emailed forms

• Auto-generating service plans from notes and prior data

• One-click court and compliance packets with missing-doc checks

The goal is simple: cut paperwork from hours to minutes without breaking compliance.

This idea came from lived experience working with group homes, nonprofits, and compliance-heavy programs. The pain is obvious once you see it, but it’s invisible to most SaaS builders because the buyers aren’t loud on Twitter and don’t hang out on Hacker News.

Current status:

• Working MVP

• Early users and design partners

• No fundraising yet
