Sxitch
A Switch in time, saves nine
Heres how I did marketting for my app, Sxitch, https://sxitch.app to get 7 sales in 2 weeks.
Discord communities. People misunderstand this a lot. You don't find communities where people are looking for your app. You find people in the communities that you already are in.
Give discounts. If someone asks for a discount, give it to them. You're pricing should already have some wiggle room for discounts. For me since I don't have any server costs or any subscriptions.. I could price my app at 100% free if I wanted to.. making 50% of your app is better than 0% of nothing.
Be open and transparent. Engaing with your community, regardless of how small it is, is crucial. Recent I saw a lot on reddit where a developer was not responding to support and refund emails. Don't ever do this. This will just stop people from buying your app in the future.
This was how I managed to get 7 sales. But do note, none of them were at the price listed on my website. I can contact 5/7 of them. And I have about 3-4 other people using the paid version of the app for free to get feedback, feature ideas, and bug reports.
Thats what people have said so far. Nah I'm here to prove them wrong. I've been building MANY projects.
OneLLM -> https://onellm.dev
Rustcast -> https://rustcast.app
and now, at the age of 17, I've reached
Sxitch -> https://sxitch.app
A MacOS Productivity app, with 6 sales within a week. Yup you heard (or read) it right. 6. Paying. Customers. All in a week. Thats not including the numerous people that have tried it out and supported it.
Let me know what you think!

Sxitch has had 5 paying customers within a week, just for the discounted version!
I got so many good feature requests and found so many cool other MacOS Apps to use as a reference / compare against Sxitch.

Urghh I hate the MacOS CMD Tab. I can't keep cycling through all the open apps. I don't even switch to these apps often enough, but they always show up. Why do I need to hold cmd Screw it. I'm building it myself.
