The visible transfer history is a nice detail. “Backup without turning it into a black box” feels much more compelling than just cramming three utilities into one app.
Feels like SyncGallery could be pulling in a lot more organic traffic than it is right now. At $100/mo already, it seems like there’s enough evidence here that the broader demand is worth paying attention to.

Good question. Based on the feedback I am getting, most people first find and download SyncGallery as a gallery, not as a sync or backup tool.
That surprised me because Android already has thousands of gallery apps, but far fewer serious sync and backup options. My current theory is that people will try a new gallery quite easily, while trusting an app with their entire photo library and cloud storage is a much bigger decision.
So our focus right now is earning that trust through clear sync rules, a preview before the first sync, visible transfer history, and full control over what moves where.
