TestingBot
Browser and Device Testing
Over the past months, we’ve been quietly working on something our users have been asking for a long time:
running Maestro tests on real physical devices, with a proper CLI.
Today we’re rolling this out on TestingBot.
The problem we kept hearing
A lot of mobile teams love Maestro because it’s simple, fast and YAML-based. But in practice, most teams ended up stuck with one of two options:
Running tests locally on emulators/simulators (fast, but not very realistic)
Running tests on cloud providers that didn’t really support Maestro natively or required awkward workarounds
That meant flaky tests, weird device differences slipping through and CI pipelines that never quite felt reliable.
What we built
We decided to treat Maestro as a first-class citizen on TestingBot:
✅ Run Maestro flows on real Android and iOS devices
✅ Native TestingBot CLI for Maestro
Upload your app
Upload your Maestro flow
Trigger runs
Stream logs
✅ Run tests in parallel across multiple devices
✅ Full test artifacts:
Video recordings
Screenshots
Logs
Detailed run results
In practice, this means teams can now:
Write simple Maestro flows locally
Push them to TestingBot
Run them on actual physical devices in the cloud
And integrate everything cleanly into CI
What’s next?
We’re already working on:
Better debugging tools for failed Maestro runs
Deeper CI integrations
More device types (newer iPhones, Android models, etc.)
Better UX around test results
If you’re using Maestro today, or thinking about it, we’d love your feedback.

Hey indie hackers 👋
We’ve just shipped something pretty exciting —
TestingBot now supports automated testing on real Apple TV 4K devices 🎉
If you’re building a tvOS app (streaming, fitness, gaming, etc.), you can now run Appium tests directly on physical Apple TVs in the TestingBot cloud.
Each test runs on a real device and includes logs, screenshots and a full video recording of the session.
How it works:
Upload your
.ipatvOS app to TestingBot StorageRun an Appium test script (same syntax you use for iOS or Android)
Watch your test execute on a real Apple TV 4K and get results in seconds
We started with Apple TV 4K on tvOS 17, with more Smart TV platforms coming soon!
Would love feedback from anyone testing tvOS or Smart-TV apps. What would make this most useful for you?

Hey Indie Hackers!
At TestingBot, we help developers and QA teams automate testing across browsers and devices. Today, we’re launching a free tool that’s aimed at every indie hacker who wants their website to load faster and rank better on Google.
🎯 What It Does
You enter a URL, and we’ll return Critical CSS – the minimal CSS needed to render above-the-fold content. This is the CSS you should inline in your <head> to drastically improve load time and Core Web Vitals like Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and First Contentful Paint (FCP).
⚡ Why This Matters
Speed = SEO: Google uses Core Web Vitals as a ranking factor. Critical CSS can shave seconds off load time.
Better UX: Visitors see usable content faster, which lowers bounce rates.
Zero setup: Just paste a URL – no downloads, no installs, no accounts required.
🔗 Try it out here (free):
We’re offering this 100% free for the community to help more websites load faster and perform better. It works great for marketing sites, blogs and e-commerce stores.
Happy optimizing! 🚀

Running an online Shopify store is challenging. Between managing inventory, marketing and customer support, the last thing any Shopify merchant wants is to lose sales due to a hidden outage or a broken checkout flow. Yet, many Shopify store owners only discover issues when customers complain—or worse, when sales suddenly drop.
What if you could catch these problems before they affect your revenue?
The Solution: Automated Testing for Your Shopify Store
We built TestingBot for Shopify to help store owners stay ahead of technical issues. With our new Shopify App, you can now run automated tests on your store to detect outages, slowdowns and checkout failures—before they impact your customers.
How It Works
Install the TestingBot Shopify App – No coding required.
Run Automated Tests – Simulate real user interactions like adding products to the cart, checkout flows and more.
Get Alerts – Receive instant notifications if your store experiences downtime or broken functionality.
Fix Issues Faster – With detailed reports, you’ll know exactly what needs attention.
Who Is This For?
If you're a Shopify store owner, developer, or agency managing multiple stores, this app is designed to help you:
Prevent revenue loss by detecting downtime early
Automate store monitoring without manual effort
Improve customer experience by ensuring smooth navigation and checkout
Why We Built This
At TestingBot, we’ve spent years helping developers and QA teams automate browser and mobile app testing. But we noticed a gap—many eCommerce store owners don’t have the time or technical expertise to set up automated tests. So, we built this Shopify integration to make automated testing accessible to everyone.
Try It Today!
You can get started with TestingBot for Shopify in just a few clicks. Check it out on the Shopify App Store and start securing your store today!
We’d love to hear your thoughts—let us know what features you'd like to see next!

At TestingBot, we're always looking for ways to push the boundaries of test automation. Today, we’re excited to introduce TestingBot AI Chat, an AI-Native QA Agent-as-a-Service that simplifies automated testing like never before.
The Problem: Slow and Complex Test Automation
Test automation is a crucial part of building scalable web applications, but writing and maintaining test scripts can be time-consuming. Searching for locators, debugging flaky tests and keeping up with UI changes make test automation a bottleneck rather than a boost.
What if you could skip the tedious scripting and let an AI agent handle test creation for you?
The Solution: AI-Powered, Codeless Test Automation
With TestingBot AI Chat, you can now control a remote browser using natural language. Simply type what you want to test, and our AI will:
✅ Execute actions in a live browser, just like a human tester.
✅ Convert those actions into Selenium, Puppeteer, or Playwright test scripts.
✅ Eliminate the need for manually finding locators.
✅ Help teams build and execute test cases faster than ever.
How It Works
Enter a Prompt – Type something like “Open my website, log in, and check if the dashboard loads.”
Watch AI in Action – The AI agent interacts with a live browser in real time.
Generate Test Code – Convert your steps into automated tests for Selenium, Puppeteer or Playwright.
Run and Reuse – Use these test cases for regression testing, CI/CD pipelines and more.
Why Indie Hackers Should Care
If you're an indie hacker, founder, or developer working on a product, speed is everything. With TestingBot AI Chat, you can:
🚀 Validate your app’s UI and workflows instantly – No more writing scripts from scratch.
🚀 Save hours of development time – Let AI handle test creation while you focus on building.
🚀 Run automated tests without deep QA expertise – Ideal for small teams or solo devs.
The Future of Testing is AI-Driven
Traditional automation testing is evolving. Generative AI and LLMs (Large Language Models) are transforming how we build, test, and deploy software. With TestingBot AI Chat, we’re bringing AI-driven automation to QA, making it more accessible, faster, and truly codeless.
Ready to try it out? Sign up on TestingBot and start testing with AI today!

Today we added a new feature to our Selenium cloud-based grid, called WebDriver BiDi.
This is a new protocol that is being introduced by Selenium, which is an open-source browser test framework.
With this new protocol comes speed improvements and a range of new features, including the ability to receive events from a remote browser such as console.log or DOM mutation events.
Additionally, you have the possibility to mock request and responses during your Selenium tests.
Overall, this new feature indicates that the future of Selenium will be one of better performance and shiny new features.
