After watching people (myself included) either type out recordings by hand or get hit with per-minute transcription bills, I built TranscribeNext.
The idea was simple: one tool that turns any audio or video into accurate, editable text — across 100+ languages, with automatic speaker labels and timestamps — on a flat subscription instead of a meter that punishes heavy use. It handles long files (up to 8 hours), pulls from uploads or YouTube links, records Zoom/Meet/Teams calls, and exports to DOCX/PDF/SRT/VTT. There's a free tier so you can test your own audio first.
Honest about where it's not the answer: if you need certified human-verified transcripts for court or academic submission, a human service is still the better fit.

Flat-rate pricing seems like the more consequential bet here, especially since it changes who gets the most value from the product.
Are you finding that people are actively frustrated by per-minute pricing, or is that still primarily the assumption you’re testing with TranscribeNext?
