Talk to stranger at 3am - Annonymous AI Chat
Four days ago, I launched Unknown.Chat.
The idea was simple:
What if you could open a website and instantly start talking to a stranger again?
Not a chatbot assistant.
Not a productivity tool.
Just a conversation.
The internet used to have places where random conversations happened naturally. Over time, many disappeared, became unsafe, or lost what made them interesting.
I wanted to recreate that feeling using AI personas.
Every stranger on Unknown.Chat has their own personality, interests, background, and way of speaking. The goal isn't to convince anyone they're talking to a real person—it's to create conversations that are interesting enough that people want to stay.
After 4 days:
• 900+ visitors
• 2,500+ page views
• 100+ hours of conversations
• 10–12% retention
The most surprising part wasn't the traffic.
It was seeing people spend hours talking to complete AI strangers they had never met before.
Some conversations lasted a few minutes.
Others lasted for hours.
I'm still figuring out onboarding, retention, and monetization, but these early signals suggest there might be something interesting here.
I'd love feedback from other founders:
Would you use a platform designed purely for unexpected conversations?
About
we're not building another AI tool. We're building a place where strangers can have conversations.
