Videokr
Hosted video for marketing sites

I am building Videokr because video on a business website should feel like part of that business’s own product and brand—not an embed that sends visitors somewhere else or gives up control of the experience.
The tradeoff I kept seeing was awkward:
- Use a large video platform and accept its player, recommendations, branding constraints, and limited control of the visitor journey.
- Self-host video and take on bandwidth, transcoding, compatibility, and maintenance work.
Videokr is the middle ground I wanted to exist. It lets a team upload a video or add one from a URL, customize a branded player, and embed it on a website or WordPress.
The product also supports chapters, captions, overlays, calls to action, end screens, in-video email capture, and second-by-second retention analytics.
I am still early, so I am especially interested in candid feedback from founders and marketers:
1. When you put video on a marketing page, what outcome matters most: branding, lead capture, privacy, analytics, conversion, or something else?
2. What would make you choose a hosted-video tool instead of YouTube, Vimeo, or self-hosting?
3. What would you need to see before trying a product like this?

I am building Videokr because businesses should be able to use video on their own marketing sites without giving up control of the player, viewer experience, and engagement data.
