September 6, 2026 Why we built WebPixie

Nobody notices a website die of excitement. It dies quietly — a certificate that expires overnight, a domain renewal that slips past everyone's calendar, a robots.txt file that gets rewritten during a routine redeploy and quietly tells search engines to stop showing up. Small, unglamorous failures. And by the time someone notices, it's not a five-minute fix anymore — it's lost traffic, lost trust, sometimes lost customers.

That's the gap we kept running into, over and over, from different angles. So we built WebPixie to sit in that gap: one place that watches uptime, SSL, domain expiration, DNS, security, broken links, and crawlability, and turns all of it into a single score with a plain answer — here's what's wrong, here's what to do about it. Not another dashboard full of numbers you need a developer to interpret. Just: is it fine, or isn't it, and what now.

We're still early and still shipping fast. If you've been burned by one of these boring failures before, I'd genuinely like to hear about it.
