Wildkard
Social engagement platform for sports teams
After months of side-hustling, I am officially full-time on the startup! My co-founder will be full-time next week. I feel excited and terrified (in a good way). For the first time in my adult life, I will be working full-time on my passion - never thought I'd be here when the idea first emerged in my head in mid-2019.
This was a major release for us. Shipped a new admin-mode, improved app nav, support for baseball/softball, personalized stats, and bug-fixes. 95% of the backlog = inspired from user feedback. Phew!
What we learned. It was extremely difficult to source high-quality feedback from our users. Despite 1:1 outreach, events, we just weren't getting much. Then we began asking users for feedback in our app itself in a frictionless way (using our chat feature). From there, we seemed to get some feedback, but again not adequate. We're experimenting with different feedback sourcing mechanisms.

After 8 grueling months of product development including a 6 week beta with 50 testers, we launch today! Wildkard is now available on the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store for sports teams to download and use. Over the next 3 months, we look forward to learning from our early sports teams, and improving the product.
But, for today .. we sit back, feet up, with a nice beverage. :)
