I'm narrowing down my focus to other side-projects, because I know the target audience better:

• Tasklog
• Remote Weekly
• New portal about no-code

Therefore I can't give Workplace List the love it deserves.

The first version relied only on data provided by website visitors and it caused major concerns. I've added new data sources. As a result, every place on Earth should be more or less covered even without user input.

👉 New verified badge to easily filter the TOP 💯 places. Place becomes verified when liked by user who did sign-in.

👉 Ability to sign in (fb/google) and:

• Upvote places
• Post comments
• Upload place pictures

👉 New presets with 🖼️ images in the search widget so newcomers can find the hot locations faster.

👉 Sidebar with 3 sections

👉 2d/3d Map

• Toggle between the classic (2d) view on your phone or 3d view for bigger angle.

Starting to implement some of the feedback ideas, such as:

• Button to switch between 2d and 3d view 🌎
• Add "List view" as an alternative to the fullscreen map 📜
• Add option for uploading pictures 🖼️
• Pre-generate pretty urls for best known DN locations 🗺️

Example: Best Cafés to Work From in "Berlin, Germany"

• Dynamic og:image based on the location in url 🖌️
• Add a "backup" data source for areas which have no user-filled venues YET ⚙️

Thinking about Foursquare, Yelp, Here, TomTom. Can't really use Google places because of the TOS.

Not bad. Honestly expected it way worse. 🙏

So I made this crowdsourced map on which anyone can pin their favorite spot.
Can be either a Coworking space, Café or even a 🏖️ Beach bar.

Although we all know beach bars are just for "I'm cool working from the beach" Instagram photos and not an actual 🖥️ work.

As Digital Nomad working remotely, I struggled to find a proper workplace 💻 in the Davao region cause it's not that "hot" nomad destination. Even with the existing tools, finding a nice place to do some work was a 😢 pain.
