The harder part for a marketplace like this isn't getting sellers to list — it's creating enough buyer demand that sellers have a reason to stay. It'll be interesting to see how WPBay tackles that side as the catalog grows.
After 10+ years selling WordPress plugins, building the marketplace around the problems you’ve actually felt is a pretty strong starting point. The fact that it covers plugins, themes, scripts and services makes the marketplace feel broader than just another plugin directory too.
At $1K/mo already, this feels like it could be pulling a lot more organic traffic than it probably is right now, especially with such a large existing WordPress audience.
I’d be curious what category is getting the most unexpected attention so far.
