I tried it with Codex for my budgeting page and shipped slop I now have to fix.

As you can see, the first draft looked like a credit card scam site:

Don’t tell the AI:

“Create a modern hero section with great copy that sells and nice animations.” That’s how you get slop.

What I did instead:

> Go to Drizzle

> Find a design I like (example "Hero section")

> Screenshot it

> Paste the image into the AI

> Say: recreate this exact design (Hero section) in my branding

That’s it.

AI is bad at inventing good design from memory.

It’s very good at copying.

So give it exactly what you want built.

Don’t let it guess. Don’t let it “be creative.”

Otherwise it will always be the same: Slop.

The Results:

Just shipped an imperfect product and trying to iterate it to perfection while getting feedback from the users I always used "the product isn't perfect enough" to procrastinate the release because of two things: > i was scared that people will judge my product > that nobody will see my product and my work was for nothing I made once the mistake to redefine and optimize a project for 6 months in the end nobody cared and i took the project offline. This project was created in 1 week, i just clicked on release and it generated directly some traffic and users. end of the story, just ship the imperfect stuff and make it perfect on the journey and let the users be part of it.
