0% Conversions on 1,500+ Clicks? Here’s the Simple Tool I Built to Fix That.

Hey Indie Hackers,

I recently saw a post from a founder who spent over $400 on X ads, got 1,500+ clicks, and ended up with 0 signups and 0 sales. The ad copy was great, but the landing page was the clear bottleneck.

This is a problem I’ve seen countless times, and frankly, it's painful to watch. You do all the hard work to get traffic, but if your landing page doesn't convert, you're just throwing money away.

My Solution: Stop Guessing, Start A/B Testing

Most founders don't have time to manually set up A/B tests for every headline or call-to-action. So, I decided to build a simple tool to automate the process.

I launched BestLanding, a tiny but powerful tool that does one thing: it helps you A/B test your landing page copy (headlines, subheadings, CTAs) on autopilot.

  • You add a few variations of your headline.

  • BestLanding automatically serves them to visitors.

  • It tracks which version performs best and shows you the data.

  • Then, you simply pick the winner and watch your conversions go up.

The goal isn't to be a full-blown analytics suite. It's to give you a single, simple way to make sure the words on your page are working as hard as they can.

I built this with a fellow Indie Hacker in mind, someone who needs to optimize their marketing without spending hours on a complex platform.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and get your feedback. Have you ever faced this "clicks but no conversions" problem? What did you do to solve it?

Let me know if you have any questions or ideas.

Cool idea! I am checking out the app - how are you validating CTR?

      Thanks you!

You're right, CTR is a key metric, but on its own, it can be misleading, especially with small traffic numbers. The platform validates CTR based on statistical significance. We don't just show which variant has a higher click-through rate. We wait until the data is statistically reliable enough to confidently declare a winner.

Currently, cold warm-up is considered to be between 50 and 200 views per variant (depends on site traffic) in order to start counting its correct CTR.

Furthermore, I'll be rolling out an update soon that makes this even more transparent with a "Chance to Win" metric. This feature will show you, in real-time, the probability that one of your variants is the true winner (e.g., 95% or 99%). This will allow you to make decisions based on rock-solid confidence, not just on raw numbers.
