Hey IH π
I just launched formpuppy β an AI-powered filter that blocks spam and cold sales emails from contact forms, and only forwards the real inquiries to your inbox.
The problem I was solving:
Right after launching a product, my contact form got buried in SEO agency pitches, outsourcing offers, and bot spam. I'd miss legitimate user messages because they were lost in the noise. CAPTCHA didn't help β a lot of the spam comes from real humans or increasingly sophisticated AI bots that breeze past traditional filters.
How formpuppy works:
1. Sign up and get a unique inbox address (e.g. yourproject@yourproject.formpuppy.com)
2. Change your form's notification email to that address β one setting, no code changes
3. formpuppy's AI classifies each incoming email and forwards only the real ones to your actual inbox
4. Blocked emails are visible on the dashboard, so nothing gets permanently lost
The key insight: filtering at the email layer means it works with any form β Contact Form 7, Webflow, Typeform, custom HTML forms, you name it. No plugins, no deploy, just one email address change.
Where it stands:
- Just launched, looking for early feedback
- Free plan available
- Built with Next.js + Supabase + OpenAI
Would love to hear if you've dealt with this problem and how you handled it. Happy to answer questions!
