I built a professional form builder (forms.devtet.com) for freelancers and small agencies.

Then I did my first cold outreach test:

• 500 emails sent

• 90 opens

• 1 click

• 0 conversions

I expected price (“cheaper than Typeform”) to be the hook, but it completely failed.

What I learned so far:

• people don’t care about cheaper tools unless the workflow is clearly better

• screenshots > features in cold email

• targeting is probably more important than copy

Now I’m rethinking the positioning around “client intake forms for freelancers/coaches” instead of a generic form builder.
