Achievements & Progression System (NEW)

• Achievements are here! Earn badges for milestones like giving your first review, reaching 10 reviews, getting 5-star ratings, and more. 23 achievements across 5 categories (Onboarding, Feedback, Quality, Community, Projects) with 4 tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond.

• Celebration page with badge art and confetti when you earn Gold or Diamond achievements. Multiple achievements earned at once are shown one by one so nothing gets missed.

• Achievement badges on your profile so others can see what you've accomplished.

• Email and toast notifications when you unlock a new achievement, so you know the moment it happens.

• Admin dashboard for managing the achievement catalog, including an impact preview when changing thresholds ("32 users hold this badge, they will keep it").

Progressive Disclosure (NEW)

• Cleaner sidebar for new users. Instead of showing every menu item from day one, features now unlock as you use the platform. You can see what's coming (items are visible but locked), and each one tells you what to do to unlock it.

• Guided progression: Complete onboarding to unlock Projects, add a project to unlock Feedback, give reviews to unlock PeerPoints, Settings, and Invite. No more information overload on your first visit.

Dashboard Redesign (NEW)

• New users now see a focused two-panel dashboard: your project on the left, "give your first review" call-to-action on the right. No clutter, just the next step.

• Active users see a progression-focused dashboard with a progress bar showing what unlocks next, your stats, and active projects.

• Established users get the full dashboard with stats, analytics, and quick actions.

Onboarding Redesign

• Simpler, friendlier signup flow. Fewer fields, more personality. Just your name and email to get started.

• Streamlined onboarding that gets you to your first project faster with less friction.

Landing Page Overhaul

• New v2 landing page with a clearer message about what PeerPull does and why it matters. Better hero section, features breakdown, and social proof.

Passwordless Sign-In

• Magic link login. Click a link in your email to sign in, no password needed. Faster and more secure.

Extension Update (v0.5.7)

• Submitted to Chrome Web Store!!! Will see how long it takes and how many resubmissions I will need as we are using a lot of permissions.

• Fixed a bug where clicking "Redo" right after a recording auto-stopped could accidentally restart recording.

• URLs without https:// now work when the extension navigates to a site for review.

I had an amazing feedback session today! One that I didn't even know I needed. Kind of ironic when you think about it, as I'm building a video feedback platform for us builders lol.

What was meant to be just 10 minutes turned into 44 minutes of pure gold. Huge shoutout to Charlie Coppinger (https://x.com/TheCoppinger) for taking the time to give such valuable feedback!

I think we all know what it feels like but sometimes we just can't see the forest for all the trees. Charlie touched on a few things I already knew could be improved but then he dropped the Conversion Equation from Julian Shapiro (https://www.julian.com/guide/startup/landing-pages).

I thought I had already cut a lot of noise to make signup and onboarding as simple as possible, but turned out we could make it even more simple!

So that's the next milestone for PeerPull. Cut as much as possible to make registration and first AHA moment as simple, frictionless, laborless, and clear as humanly possible! Can always add on more later!

April 4-5 update: Homepage v2 + Extension polish

Two focus areas over the past two days:

New homepage (v2) -- Built and iterated a completely new landing page using Golden Circle messaging ("Why, How, What") with a dedicated details page. Also fixed mobile nav.

Chrome extension hardening -- Several fixes to make the extension production-ready:

• Fixed a login blocker where Turnstile captcha was blocking extension sidebar auth. Rerouted login through a server-side endpoint to bypass it.

• Set up a proper production build pipeline with versioned zip packaging and environment configs for the Chrome extension.

• Fixed a critical UX bug where hitting max recording duration (5 min) would auto-transition the view, causing users to accidentally click "Redo" instead of "Stop" and lose their entire recording. Added a confirmation dialog, interaction cooldown, and auto-stop indicator based on research into how Loom and other recording tools handle this.

I love the idea of a video feedback exchange, where builders give video feedback to each other in exchange for ratings, quality scores, and earning video feedback themselves.

As a fellow AI solo builder, I found it hard to get feedback from others, even though there are so many platforms already available.

Most of them are text-based feedback platforms, and I'm just more of a "show, don't tell" type of consumer.

I'm also a gamer and love gamification, so I kept thinking of ways to combine giving quality video feedback with gamified concepts like streaks, profiles, leaderboards, badges, achievements, etc.

So I decided to build out PeerPull, a video feedback exchange for builders!

I would LOVE to continue building out so many ideas I have for the exchange, BUT I really need to prove the concept first.

Yes, there have been many attempts in the past to create similar platforms and I'm not claiming to have nailed it, but I'm hoping we can get closer together.

I would love YOUR feedback on this idea, and the best way for you to share that would be to simply:
